Default Gettting our Truck to Hook Up 101

If I may,
Let's use this thread to talk about the different kinds of traction devices and/or helpful hints to get our light-in-the-*** trucks to hook up.
Please include before and after 60ft times if you have them and your hp/tq for reference. Any related info.
Also, What difference the mod made, if any.

Furthermore: It seems like we spend alot of time talking about Engine Mods, Tranny Mods, Rear Ends, FI, Drop Kits..........I'm as guilty as the next guy.........yet very little time talking about how to put that power to the ground.

I have never had the truck dyno'd as stupid as it sounds, but i can list my mods so here ya go : Whipple Charger, LS1 heads and cam, built 4L60e with shift kit, electric fans, removed front sway bar, K&N filter in an AIRAID box,and 3.73 gears with the good ol posi.

Since I'm poor I use spring clamps to keep my one tire fire on the ground. I still want a posi and slicks though...

Traction??? I havent had that since my truck was stock :joker:. When I was makin 450rwhp with a 2/4 drop, cal-tracs, 4:11 posi i ran 28x11.5's mt et streets on 16's. I ran 1.6s 60's all day. BUT i would spin the tire on the rim. I marked the tire one day and after one pass it moved 1 1/2 inches on the rim. I think that with my new setup I will be screwing my tires and maybe even getting bigger et streets. I would love to hook up. then there would be no more on the big 1320.

If anyone has pics of their setup, this would also be a good place to post them
