Default Which Gears?

I just got the Yank converter in, and am looking to ditch the 3.23's. I for the meantime am going to keep the 1 piece shaft and have it high speed balanced. I run a 29" tire. What gears would you guys think would be best? Plans are for a moderately cam/head setup on the 4.8 until something else comes along.. I may entertain a small shot as well.

So 3.73's, 3.90's, or 4.10's?

4:10's for sure man, they'll be a great compliment with the cam, and they'll get your truck moving out of the hole

Golly 3.23's are some F-Body stuff. I have 3.73's and a 5 speed and they leave me wanting. I have been suggested 4.10's but am pondering 4.30/56's.

The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on 4.30's is my p.o.s driveshaft. A custom shaft just isn't in the budget right now.

My stock tires were about 31" tall, and now with the 29" tires a 3.90 would actually be like a 4.16 effective gear ratio, and the 4.10 would be about like 4.38. I will sleep on it I guess. I'm too indecisive...lol

Good point. The only thing keeping me from a chromoly driveshaft is money and a lack of knowledge in passing on measurements.
