ok, the wife gave me the go ahead for a gear swap and I wanted to know what kind of mpg drop have you guys seen going from 3.23's to 4.10's. I was going to go to 3.73's but why not just go for it. I have a ******* kia at 30mpg and for trips my wife has a 40-50 mpg jetta TDI. I only drive my truck on weekends and 1 day to work. what do you guys think. my tire size is 275/45.20.
Oh and oem Is what I want to run, but what other brands have yall had good luck out of.
thanks

You will be fine with a 4.10, since my swap this weekend I have put almost 100 miles on the truck, burnt only about 1/8 tank, that is on a untuned 6.0. with a 3200 stall. You will be a lil less then a 410 ratio with that tire size...

It's a toy.
Get 4.10s and forget about gas.
You won't lose more than a couple mpg overall.
BTW your 3.23s SUCK!
4.10s will make more of a peformance improvement than all the other stuff you've done to the truck so far.
-And, before you start an LSD thread, just get a TrueTrac with the gears.
LOL, have fun
