gear ratios

Default gear ratios

what gear ratio should i run with 46" claws. And whats the lowest gear ratio i can fit into a 10 bolt

I wouldn't recommend running a 10-bolt with that big of a tire. A 14-bolt would be much better suited for something that large. As far as ratios go, you're probably gonna need 5.13's or maybe lower if they make them any lower than that.

would a dana 44 be alright for 46" tires

A 44 is about even with a 10 bolt, comparable ring gear and spline sizes.

would not even think of running 46's on a 10 bolt. And if you are going to run these on a 1 ton (dana 60 or 14 bolt), what you are going to do then? Heavy mudding, cruising, rock crawling? In extreme applications, a 2 1/2 ton rockwell may be needed
