what so bad about a G80 locker?

They like to explode with no warning at any given time.

mine is VERY loud i hate it.it doesnt lok up very well either

Both of my last 2 trucks had them. They do make a loud pop when engaging and don't really help all too much. Better than nothing until they blow, and they do blow. They occasionaly take out more than themselves with them.
Take a sharp right turn and give it a little throttle.....

G80's are great rear ends....for a truck with much less HP then the factory puts out, little own a Modded application. I used mine for the first summer...Detriot tru trac and 4.10's awaiting install

Mine makes a lot of noise as it locks and unlocks under power off road. It doesn't make much noise on the road as long as both tires have equal traction. And like mentioned above it doesn't seem to have much holding power.

I never worried much til it went!...Its not the one component u need to worry about, its all the others it breaks when it goes! So now I have to rebuild my rr, fix the tranny yoke and u-joints...and HOPEFULLY, the 4L80 is all its made out to be and bomb proof!
