Default front pinion seal

so what all is involved in changing one out, and how big of a pita is it?
Just pull the driveshaft and remove the yolk can you remove the seal by just doing that?

Short answer is it looks to be a pita to do it correctly. Technically you just need to remove the yoke, pull the old seal, hammer in a new one and re-install the yoke. However it is important to get everything back together in the proper alignment and at the proper torque to maintain the correct preload on the gears. I have never done it though so I am just going on what the service manual says.

nope neither but I am leaving the front alone as far as a LSD goes. If it was the back it should be a lot easier but as of right now everything is a dealer item. You know anyone that works at a GM place that could get me some pricing on this ****? hey u wanna help change it out? lol

Here are some pdf's of the service manual pages. I had to break it into 2 files and zip them to be able to upload them. Hope this helps.
