No it doesn't. My SC3000 acts exactly the same as it did with Dex III.

Dexron III is no longer made.

Chevron MD3 is the replacement and is all I have ever ran. 115k with 400hp going through it and not one issue.

Huh? There are plenty of comapanies offering DexIII compatible trans fluid, I saw shelves of Valvoline Dex/Merc at Autozone yesterday

Pretty sure that it said DexIII/Merc on the container, but I can't remember...

*EDIT* I remember that the case of Valvoline that I bought when I swapped my trans back in May said compatible with DexronIII...it may not be the actual GM approved Dexron brand, but it should be basically the same stuff, which is what FLT recommends...

Aftermarket companies still make dex 3, but GM does not make it anymore, at least thats what i was told, gm came out with dex 6 and its supposedly a better fluid and compatible with all older modle transmissions. dex 6 replaces dex3. Do a search on Dex 6 and see what other people are saying about it on other forms and sites.
