Default flexplate question

Well i got a lq4 im gonna swap in the truck, my transmission guy swears the 60e will hold with the wide red band and transgo hd2 shift kit and has a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty so it will stay for a while. my tuner says it should hold as well but reading about all the people swapping with an 80e and what not its gonna make me nervous to play with it once the engine is in. Anyway when i was at the machine shop this week, he wanted the flexplate so he could balance the complete rotating assembly, i told him i didnt think i could use the stock 6.0 flexplate with the 60e but didnt know why. if i do need the 5.3 flexplate ill have to go pick one up i guess. from what i could find the difference is in the spacing?? we dont know the year of the engine, but it didnt have egr so i assume its at least an 03, also came out if a 2500 van is all i know. any help appreciated.
