Default External Transmission filter

I am looking at installing an external transmission filter, not sure what brand to go with, IE perma-cool or td performance. I did install the tru cool 40,000 cooler with the nice brackets I got from here and just want to use the return line back the tranny to install the filter. I would like to either use hoses with fittings and or hard lines, I don't want to use hose clamps, as I don't want to risk a leak... Can anyone advise a way to do this and keep it simple. I was thinking of mounting the filter on the tranny cross member to keep it out of the way and make it easy to change... I have searched and haven't seen an easy way to do the lines.
