Default Encoder motor for 2005 Z71 problems

My encoder motor on my transfer case is out for the third time. It went out at 18,000, 48,000, and now again at 92,000. Both times gm covered it. After talking to the dealership, I suspect they are going to cover it again. My issue is, this part should not have to be replaced this often. I use 4wd rarely and autotrac on occasion. Has anybody else had these issues?

It's probably an encoder sensor in the encoder motor that could be bad. Had a lot of these but also wiring issues from the encoder motor to TCCM. Also terminal tension issues at both ends. Repeated failure like that usually doesn't happen. I'd be looking into it more.
