Default Edelbrock Shock install

This might be a dumbass question, I installed edelbrock IAS shock over a year ago on a stock height 02 Z71. The install was easy, but the shock itself has an arrow to mount it opposite direction from what the stock shock was installed. It has been too long to remember if it would even go in the other direction. I mounted then the same direction as the stockers. The reason I bring this up is because they feel a little too soft. Going down the interstate the rear end feels like an old town car but way better than it did stock. They only have roughly 10,000 on them. Any opinions?

My summit shocks have the shaft end pointing up. I think the stock ones are like that too.

They are designed to be installed upside down, you need to switch them around.

Your not a dumbass. I did the same thing. I figured it out sooner though. If you are looking at the way your stockers are installed, it is pretty easy to screw-up. The Edlebrock IAS's need to be installed that way so that the IAS valve works correctly.

Well worth the money in my opinion! Prob the best for the money that I have done. My stockers seemed to ride a lot more harsh than some friends of mine. Could it be where mine has the bigass driveshaft and tranny cooler that theirs doesnt have? Guess that is considered the true tow package...
