Default ecsb guys-driveshaft question

to all the ecsb guys that are racing their trucks- what have you done to your driveshafts? replaced it with a one peice, got your stock two peice speed balanced, left it alone?? Let me know what you have done to it

upgraded yoke is all I did and only because I got it free. Mine is 1-piece stock, aluminum.

i put a new style carrier bearing in and had the d shaft high speed balanced...no probs at 140mph

Mine is all stock, two peice drive shaft, no problems yet, close to 400 horsepower to the wheels, no vibrations up to 115mph or so.

2 short pieces are stronger than 1 long piece.

Break a pencil in half and then try to break each half into half. A lot more force is needed.

thats a good way to put it. also on a two piece you have a center support bearing/bushing that helps.

ok cool so the best thing would be upgrade yokes, u joints and speed balance it. i was going to put a enlarged,speed balanced, one piece

Personally i'm just going to change the u-joints at some point, inspect the carrier and giver er hell.

what about those that are lowered? im a 3/4 right now and going 5/7 in a few months. Does anyone know what Txsilverado is running?

im lowered 2/4 and alignment was fine...just watch your pinion angle
