I followed the thread to a "T" and all of the info is good . There are a couple of tidbits that might help. To avoid crossmember to TCCM interference, I cut the center crossmember section a little shorter, 5 1/2 inches from the bolt holes. Also, the brake master cylinder level plug will fit the VSS of the 80E. That one that dangles by the A/C can is the wrong one. I did the 246 transfer case but had to change the input gear just like in this thread.
Thanks to the OP for the writeup, it was invaluable.

KySilverado,
I just wanted to say thank you for making this thread. I have a 4th gen Camaro that I'm swapping a 4l80e into. The info in here is priceless and is a TREMENDOUS help not only to you guys, but to the f-body community as well.
Here's my contribution to the thread. The reason the VSS wires are twisted is due to the potential of interference from something else on the vehicle. The twist causes the electrical fields emitted by the wires to cancel out as well as block outside interference from affecting them. The same technique is used on "twisted pair" ethernet that's connecting your computer to a router or cable modem.
Thanks again!

kysilverado on your first post you mentioned that you could replace the output shaft of the 4l80e to a 27 spline one.
does anyone know where to get one from.
nobody's been able to figure out how to join a MP3023 (the NNBS autotrac T-case) to a 4l80e due to input shaft issues. I think changing the output will be an easy solution.
they are 355 at transmission center dot net
anyone know another website???

so i found a 6.0/80E package out of a 02 truck, i have an 02 tahoe i wanna put it in. I have been playing with chevy stuff for a while now but not ls stuff so my questions are: i have a complete hardness/computer from the tahoe and the truck witch on is the better one to run? im going to cam up the 6.0 and run a few little bolt on, will i have to tune it right away? and last but not least i have the truck exhaust thats factory 3" will the bends clear in my tahoe with out seriously moding it?
