Default Drop shocks for 4x4?

Tried to find some info a while back, but didn't seem to get any solid answers. Looking for some shocks that'll fit my truck now that it's been lowered 2ish/4. Truck info in sig...

I was wondering if the Silverado SS shocks would fit? I think that there's some stuff available for them, and a bunch of shock options for regular 2wd's. What are you other lowered 4x4 guys runnin?

im running stock, haha. ss might be a slight different length, and I know they will swap and bolt up. they only drop shock for 4wd djm offers, but you need to run theyre arms. i suggest if you want get some IAS shocks stock length, shud help your ride even tho its lowered. unless you plan on going lower

Thanks man...I'm using stock length Bilsteins right now...probably won't go lower any time soon, as the truck rides pretty good with no vibrations. I have been thinking about some spring clamps though, but I don't think they'll make a big difference in height, maybe 1/2" from what I've read.

I have Beltech's Nitro-Actives in the rear and they greatly improved the ride with my 4" rear drop. I'm going to install KYB's up front, they're reputed to be stiff for better handling.

I bought the Bellteck Nittro Active shocks as well but haven't installed the lowering kit yet. I need a tranny!

Sounds good...do you have any part numbers? Curious how the KYB's are gonna feel...I had them in my 85 MonteSS and they were great. They gave me about 4 or 5 years of perfect service and still felt great when I traded the car in for this truck in 99

J's01Silverado has KYB's on all 4 and has tried a few other brands, he swears by them.
I'll see if I can dig up my receipt for the Beltech's tonight.

The part# for the Belltech Nittro Active rear shocks to fit the 4 inch drop is 10572. At least thats the number for my 05 gmc cc and I am sure for yours too.
