I hardly ever hear of a 1in front drop but JoeGibbs does offer a 1/3 drop kit. There's a member here who installed one on his e/cab and it came out great. I forgot his name but for being and ext cab you'll need both shims I belive.

if you want just a one inch in the front get a set of stock springs out of a 96-98 truck and it will lower your truck an inch.

hey fogle is this a sure thing ? no problems ? no align problems . if so i can get them pretty easy . also when i towwed a trailer this past weekend i had measured how much it dropped my rear end . it was exactly 3 inchs . i loved the way it sat i just wish it was one inch lower all around . so im gonna go with a 1/4 drop . i like cali style and it seems to be popular around here . when i get bored with it ill go from there and if i dont like it ill do a 2 inch drop spindle and get a 3/4 drop

I have a 2/4 on the truck in the pic... I have the shims for the rearend I just have not put them in. The carrier bearing will be fine un-shimmed. I only have a slight vibe coming out of the hole up to about 25mph... if you can live with it I dont think it will hurt anything in the short-term... over a long time it may eat up a u-joint or something... c-bearings will be fine though.... no worries.
