Default Drivetrain Noise

Hey guys, dumb question and not sure if its normal or a sign of wear. But say you are driving and need to be in 3rd, but your in fourth and at low rpms and step on the gas, it sounds like a heat shield type ratte in the drivetrain, kind oof like theres slack in the driveline somewhere? some kind of friction noise or something?fyi 25K miles-pretty much babied no real insane burnouts or any serious mods...

Are you sure that it's not pinging (detonation)? The way you describe it, it kinda sounds like it's pinging under load...

(sounds sorta like marbles in a soda can?)

Maybe a bearing in the trans or a throwout bearing for the clutch. Does the noise go away if you push the clutch in?

do you have long tube headers? because my pacesetters "tick" when i hit the gas and my converter is locked (even though you don't have a converter).
