Default Driveline angles and launch shudder.

I have a slight launch shudder on acceleration. I have lower it 3/5 with a rear McGaughy's flip kit. I measured the angles today. My front angle is 6 degrees, driveshaft 0 degrees, and rear pinion 6 degrees. My working angles would be 6 and 6. I believe that is too much. I think I need to shim the transmission mount to decrease front angle which should raise the driveshaft angle. I also need to change the rear pinion angle by tipping pinion nose down to decrease angle. Does it sound like I doing this right? Which shim do I need for the front and rear?

You should probably explain where exactly your measurements came from. When you say 6 degrees is that positive negative also what are you 6 degrees out from could be the ground, chassis, crankshaft?

I'm thinking now that I probably just need to move the pinion nose down.

Pinion angles within 1-4 degrees negative from the driveline. Is where most leaf spring setups should run.In other words yeah your pinion needs to be down a lil.

I measured it with an angle finder. Front is 6 degrees down and rear is 6 degrees up. That make any sense?

Is the trucks suspension leveled and loaded.Meaning when your taken measurements its not jacked up by the chassis.

On a drive on hoist, weight on suspension, and level.

OK so a real quick step by is to:
-Get the driveshaft parallel to the crankshaft or close as possible.
-Now measure the difference if there is any of the pinion to the driveshaft in relation to the ground. If I understand correctly you have a pinion that is pointed 6 degrees towards the ground with parallel being the start 0 degrees.
-Now your driveshaft is 6 degrees up from parallel to the ground correct?
