Question Do the 2WD CC & EC Trucks Have the Same Wheel base?

Was wondering if the 2WD 1500 Crew cab trucks and the Extended cab trucks have the same wheel base?
If so, I'm thinking about using the 1-piece aluminum DS out of a crew cab truck.
Anyone know if this will work? Anything else I need? Different yoke?
Part #'s would be great.

Jim

They actually make an ECSSB, with the same bed as the CC's. There are not that many of them out there, but they do exist.

Your basic ECSB withthe 6.5' box is the same length and wheelbase as the CC's.

The ECSSB has a longer wheelbase than an RCLB, but is shorter overall. They are funky.

I've seen 2, both GMC. One white, One black. It'll make you do a double take. First thing I though of was it looked like it was in the middle of a 3 car pileup. Looks cool though and I bet it fits nicely in a standard garage.

So.....will the one piece shaft from a 2wd CC work with my EC ??
What else would be needed to bolt it in?
