Default Dipstick? Anybody seen a dipstick?

I'm an old school guy who believes automatics should have a dipstick. Will my new 2006 Silverado truck with a 4L65E have one? My wifes Alero doesn't and it's a pain in the ***.
Thanks
Jim

It should have one. Take a trip to the dealership lot and pop the hood on one if you really want to verify it.

Thanks for the reply. I don't need to find out that badly. I was just hoping someone would know so I could satisfy my curiosity. There's not much I can do about it if it doesn't.

A lot of front wheeldrive cars don't have one, you just fill the transaxale to the bottom of the fill hole. Your new truck should have one though.

I haven't seen under the hood of a 2006, I'm fixing to go to my friend's house (who has one), I'll raise the hood and look. I have one on my 2003, it's on the passenger side of the motor towards the firewall.
