Just curious what the differences are from the 99-04 Silverado brakes to the 05-06. My 2006 has drums in the rear unlike the older trucks of course. But did they also change the front brakes. I wanted to get the Baer 14" front rotor kit. But they state it only fits 99-04. The spindles are the same on all the trucks so did the rotor diameter just change. I was thinking that the front brake kit will work on my truck just the stock rotors are different from mine to the olders. Thanks

 

yeah they went to a 13" rotor.

 

I have the baer alumisports with the 14" rotors on my 05 I just think they don't update their info very much.

 

Thats what I figured. So the Baer brake kit bolted on with no issues on your 05. Also are the front brakes the same on the 05 to 06's.

 

Not sure about the differences between 06-05 but the kit was very easy to install. I just checked with stylinconcepts.com and they show the same kit for 99-06. Good luck.
