ive used the belltech coilovers in the 07 trucks. got a 3.25 inch drop on a regular cab 3.5 on a extended cab. Great set up and you can dial them all in.
also cutting 3/4 of the loop dropped the extended cab 1.25 inches.

I've used lowering springs and also cut springs plenty of times. I don't have a single negative thing to say about cutting the springs. Use a cutoff wheel, not a torch, and go with 1/4-1/2 coil at a a time. It takes alot of patience to keep reinstalling them to see where your at, but if you use stock coils you don't have to worry about them settling at all. Plus you can sell your aftermarket coils and make up some money.
