Ive decided the truck needs to be dropped a little bit more. I already have shackles in the back, and I want to drop it 2" more front and back. I know I'll need the hangers for the back, but as for the front, I think Im just gonna cut the stock coil springs. Anyone know how much you cut off to get an approx. 2" drop. Also what are the pros/cons of going this route as apposed to buying aftermarket drop coils???
Any feedback appreciated!

Man I dont' know but I wouldn't be cutting my coils and I know is the cheapest way but not the safest. Just beef up the money and buy some aftermarket coils or a nice set up. There is plenty of good afteramrket parts out there that are relieable.

Two things I would never do, cut or heat the coil springs. I have done both on other vehicles I've owned. Like everyone said, drop coils are too cheap these days, just buy a set of drop coils and do it right.

DJM also makes 2" drop sprins for less then $100.oo
There is NO reason to cut the springs for that much money.
