Cross member 4l80e mod ?

Looking at the stickey Roger has two cross memebers in the picture. The one he modded seems flat and the one I have has a hump on it. Is this going to be an issue with any angles?

If you look at picture 51 I have the one on the right hand side clearly taller than than the one he modded.
