Crew Cab 2/4 drop questions
#1
Been searching a lot on here but seems like most people go with hangers, spindles, etc. However, my 2007 classic has welded hangers in the front so I noticed from McGaughy has a flip kit for the rear with front and rear hangers to make it a 4" drop which I assume to be 1" lift hangers due to flip kits being 6" and not 4". So, I either need to cut the bumpstops for the rear or put in new ones for the rear if they come in the kit. However, I would like to do coil springs in the front to get the crew cab due to wanting a better/sportier ride. How do their springs feel? I have Hotchkis on my 1990 project truck and love the ride of it. But for my daily driver, I think not as firm would be ok..just firmer than stock. I have bilstein shocks for regular ride height so I know I will need lowered shocks most likely. I also would I need rear shock extenders?
I'm running Silverado SS wheels with a 285/50R20 tire....would this clear or do I need to go down to a 275/45R20.
Pictures would be great as well.
I doubt I would consider a 4/6 drop due to this is my daily driver and do tow on occasion so with the 2/4 I could run the helper bags.

285 will rub. 275/45 will clear fine. I ran a 265/50 with my 2/4 and had no issues at all.
You are on the right track getting helper bags. Even with just the 2/4 anything in the bed will make it bottom out. Either way you go 2/4 or 4/6 towing capacity is pretty much the same only difference is the need for a c notch. I DD my truck and have towed many trailers/trucks 2/4 and 4/6 dropped.

Yeah, wouldn't really like to do a C-notch and put that much time or money into the suspension of my daily driver. Just would like the stance to be a little bit nicer to corner, etc. So, looks like I need to sell my 285s I bought a year ago and get some 265s. Will the bilsteins work or do I need some drop shocks? I could get extenders for the rear so the rears should work.
Thanks!
Thanks!

what did you use to lower the front and back?
