Where did you find that kit? McGaughys does not even list that on their site for 2012 2/4 drop.
I would always do spindles instead of springs for the front though. Springs if you need to achieve a lower drop but at that point I'd be looking at bags or coilovers combined with other parts.

Weird that it doesn't show on their site. I guess that would work but I have no experience with the strut cups.
I'd still be looking at doing spindles though as it doesn't change any suspension geometry and only changes the hub mount point.
