I have to wake this up because I have run into a couple of issues.
07 Tahoe with 4l60e, retired state police vehicle PPV.
1. when I disassembled my servo and compressed it to remove the spring. I don't have one spring inside like the others. I have what looks like 3 springs, springpack.
2. In between the two packs I have a brass in color washer.
I followed this thread during install, did everything exactly as stated but when putting the assembly back in the 4th apply/cover would not go in. I was putting y *** into it with a pry bar to get it to go in with no luck.
Should I remove the brass looking washer and take out all but the one spring inside 1/2 servo?
In all of my searches I have not seen anyone with either of these in there threads and there's a lot of servo install topics on google.
I'll try to get some pictures asap.
Sorry for the scattered post.
Any help would be much appreciated

That difference with that washer should not stop you, take a 2x4 and a hammer and tap the cover to gain that 3/8" you need to get the snap ring in. I see many times a pry bar will not push the cover in but tapping the cover with a rubber mallet or a 2x4 with a hammer pushes the cover in.

3wide,
Thanks man.
I removed the washer, which in turn is a spacer for shift firmness that I found in the 3 hour ordeal this took, haha.
After removing it I was able to get the correct 1/8" of movement out of it. Took it for a ride and it shifts nice into 2nd at speeds. I'll get a better feel after I drive it for a little while.
