This is what I needed to hear, I just ordered a 3k 278mm stall yesterday and I was kinda concerned about the street manners, and was thinking about emailing Chris and dropping to the 2600-2800.

nope great street manners! i was about to do the samething and he said with your cam this will be perfect and it does real well street wise. i am at least going to have to go to 3600 or greater to get to where it should be. its a good runnign 4.8 but i need bigger. i only went 14.1s with slicks..not happy with that..was itching for high 13s. but for now im content with it on the streets you wont be unhappy hell email chris anyway talk to him bout it.. hes great person to deal with.

I'm running a smaller cam and a bigger motor. lol. 216/220 on a 5.3.

I may have to buy a new transmission though too, I was getting my converter to replace the stock converter that went out yesterday. So I parked it in the shop, came back today to get some tools to work on the boat, and there's a puddle of transmission fluid under the truck.

If you guys have any questions about our converter, be glad to help....

You can send me an "Ask Chris" or give me a call at the shop.
