Default Converter problem?

Ok I have been having poor 60' times with 2.26 my best. Testing my converter has these results...
Brake stall is 2500-2600
2wd flash is 2500
4wd flash is the same!
So what do I do now? Sure I can send the converter back for a re-stall but what about the $$ labor and down time
Is it possible i got the TT2600 and not the TT3000 I paid for?

i suppose its possible but with a company as big as yank seems unlikely, maybe you got the one in thousand converter whose internals didnt get stalled right or are you having TERRIBLE traction? that could be it, with all those mods 2.26 seems really high, i dont know much else to say

how long has the converter been in there? I know some converters start out tight and loosen up...

Traction problems in 2wd, yes, but not in 4wd. I've had it for about 2000 miles?

i have heard more converter start loose and get tight but that doesnt take nearly 2000 miles, so sounds like something else going, at least we have a sponsor on the issue now

I would just suggest calling them and see what they say.

I did.
Told me to try flashing from a roll. Still seems to flash to about 2600. I can send it back so they can check it out but i cant afford to pull it or be without my truck right now.
Strange thing is that it does brake stall around 2400-2500 so why wouldn't it flash 500-800 rpms higher?

Maybe one of our local members can check it out for me at Infineon next Weds.

thats weird if it only flashes to 2600 but break stalls so close to that, seems like you might have gotten the righ converter but something is internally wrong unless you have a torque monster and you acan push the break stall that far but it doesnt appear that way, at this point if no one else has had this happen seems like you need to send it back if at all possible but thats more installation cost if you arent doing it yourself unless you can work it out with yank and have them re-emburse you since it was their fault, maybe you should spend more time on the phone with their service rep or something explaining their problem and consequences

Just to double check this morning I applied the brakes hard, put it in Neutral, reved, dropped brake pedal to the floor and put it in 3rd. It brake stalled right to 2600 rpms, good right?
I could not even get the rear tires to budge-is that normal,? I usually dont abuse my truck like this.
