Default Converter Going In!!

Well I am an hour into the install, came in to warm up...lol. At this point all I have left to remove is bellhousing studs, crossmember, drop it down and swap the Converter. I should have this baby buttoned up by 10 pm (central time). Everything is going smooth so far "knock on wood". Will try and get some pics along the way.

What converter are you installing? Check the manufacturers website, I know yank has that info on the site.

Its a yank pt4400, long story short.....I bought if from a gentleman that had traded for it a few years ago. He never put it in his car because he liked the ss4000 and he sprays. The converter was supposed to be low miles, great shape. I got it in and somethings wrong w it, it takes a ton of throttle to barely move, and this is beyond loose, therel's something wrong
Tled to dave at yank this am, sending it in for repairs. The seller was very concerned and did send me 250 back to cover the cut/clean etc. Ill be sending it off monday, hopefulley will have it back the following week.

Here are some photos of the converter install the other night, it was too damn cold to take a bunch but I did find out that you do not have to drop the trans all the way down...It sat nicely on my jack and y pipe. As stated earlier, converter going back tomorrow and we (wife and I) swapped in the stocker today in about 3 hrs or 3 hrs 15 mins. Ill be a pro by the time the yank gets back. Here are a few pics.

Good luck man!

I know its frustrating when you have to do things more than once especially on your back.

Im about to rip my fuel pump out again for the fourth time, along with other things lol.

At least you'll have a new converter now!
