Default clunk and jolt

Getting mixed feedback. There is a jolt while driVing at cruising speeds. Backyard mechanic says it may just be ice in the fuel line another says the transmission is going. I don't hear a clunkid but rather a feeling like I hit a bump. Suggestions?
