Default chevy 5 speed build

ok in the near future i am to be bringing ina round body 2.2l 5 speed s10. the engine is shot so its going and a v8 is going in. as for the tranny is there anyway i can dump the internals of the casing and build the **** out of it, or should i say what parts from a stronger tranny are interchangable. if i'm not mistaking the tranny is a nv1500, so would nv2500-4500 parts works as well? and what kinda clutch should i get. will a camaro t56 clutch be interchangable.

That's some pretty specific info your looking for there. There isn't many that have 5 speeds period, much less that do internal modifications. I have been into a couple nv3500's as many other manual transmissions but I don't know the answer to that one. It all depends on the differences in the cases. I'd contact a manual transmission rebuild company for that info. They may be able to help you out. I know i've seen some companies on ebay selling the NV3500's rebuilt.

same, some of the nv models i've seen would say s10-chevy full size. i've have some knowledge of building auto trannys as far asthe clutches and what not. but as far as manual trannys im a complete idiot, i only know to replace the clutch.
