When i change my R&P from 3.42's to 4.10's, am i gonna need to get my truck re-tuned? And what is the proper break in on the setup?

Thanks in advance

can someone elaborate on the said "re-tune"?? i am swapping my ring and pinion thursday in my truck from 3.42s front and rear to 4.56s front and rear. i know i will need a retune to correct certain parameters but what all is necessary in the retune? given my truck has a 6L80E and T43 TCM.

Im meaning it as, when i had my dynotuned with all my parts on cam, bolt-ons, etc., it was tuned with the 3.42's in it, and was wondering if i needed to do it again with 4.10's to get my shift points right, etc.

In short YES. Retune. Why? ABS and shift points. A number of things read off of VSS. Your ECM will see a discrepancy between the trans vss and the wheel vss.

As for breakin, look in my gear install write-up in the stickies. I describe what is considered the standard break-in procedure.
