Same kit works for both transmissions I do believe the Z28s have the vette servo already but if nothin else when you get it apart and it doesnt have it order it. Hope this is the answer you are looking for I didnt read the whole thread as it seems it would be pointless.

I'm still lookin' for answers to the following questions:

1) does the Z28 4L60E have a plastic 1st-2nd accumulator piston?
2) will the trailblazer stall converter fit and work the same in the Z28 as it does in our trucks?

Exactly, I was trying to avoid the arguement of "does a shift kit help", I just wanted some questions answered about the f-body 4L60E.....and you see how far that got....

If I were you when doing the shift kit I would update all the accumulator pistons. Reason is that they do wear plastic or aluminum and while your there it's cheap security. As far as the tb convertor it will work however it will not be as strong as the vig, etc.These are MO's due to countless rebuilds. Good luck!
