Alomost done 4L80
#1
Well I almost got all my parts for my 4L80E swap transfer case gear done! Tranmission BUILT done! just waiting on the wiring harness from speed eng.
I have one question about the tranny though I am missing the front collant line fitting the fitting that actually screws in to the tranny. the rear fitting is long and the front at the dealer is short. (the dealer said the are the same part number) anybody else had this problem? one more question do I unblot the flywheel from the motor and put the flywheel on then the spacer and then the bolts? Right I dont really see any other way I just want to be sure!

Call speed eng about your crank spacer. I believe it goes between the crank and flywheel. As far as your cooler fittings the dealer is wrong they are not both the same.Short one in front and long one with nipple in rear!

Also do I have to buy the 6.0L flywheel or will my 5.3L work. I have heard two diffrent things on here about the spacer so it goes BETWEEN the CRANK and FLYWHEEL or does it go between the FLYWHEEL and the TORQUE CONVERTER
I am not dumb there has just been conflicting reports in this thread

Sorry just remembered that the flywheel spacer goes between the flywheel and torque converter. Reason is for issues supporting the pilot of the converter. On some of the converter's this spacer is not needed depending how it was built. You may want to check with your tc company about this.

I might have one of those fitting, if you need it give me a P.M.
The 5.3L flex will work on the 6.0, but I'm not sure if the 5.3 flex will bolt-up to a 4l80e converter using just three holes. I would thing so, but I'm not sure. (My converter was made fore the 5.3/80e, I just used the 5.3 flex plate on the 6.0)
Think of it this way. How is the starter going to reach the ring-gear if you use the spacer between the crank anf the flex plate?????
