can this trans cope with an LQ9 and a zero torque management pcm tune?

I had no problems with my 4L65E tranny with my Nelson tuned pcm with 100% TM removed. The 4L70E should be able to handle it a little better than mine can.
Though, I'm a reserved driver on the streets. The truck usually sees hard core at the track.
It's really going to come down to how hard you will be on your truck. IMO
Keep in mind that 100% TM taken out yeilds neck snapping shifts from 1-2 shifts at 25% throttle and up. I've noticed you can control this by taking off with about an 1/8th of throttle, then after the 1-2 shift, you can drive it normally.
The tranny will fail inevitably sooner or later. Sooner with 100% TM removed.

Didn't I read somewhere that your tranny was slipping? hitting the rev limiter before it shifted?

 

It wasn't slipping at all though. It would pull hard all the way, then just hit the rev limiter.
It hasn't done this in two weeks. I'm thinking a glitch or the PCM learned my holding out 2nd gear manually too long. I do this from time time when I get that wild hair that itches a little!
No slip though at all. I would know the difference for sure.

OK let me put my .02 in. I thought the 4L65E was just a beefed up 60E from the factory and the 4L70 was just a beefed up 4L65E. if that is correct anyone that has a level 4 or 5 60 or 65 is probably already better than the 4L70. I could be wrong and probably are.
