Default Caltracs install tips?

I just got a set of Caltracs for my truck (specs in the sig) and I was wondering if anyone has tips, suggestions or warnings for me before I bolt em on.

Any info would be most appreciated.

before you install them, make sure you specified to calvert racing that you are using hotchkis leaf springs because of a different size eye bushing (front of leaf spring, where it connects to hanger)

I'm not sure if you had to do this for the hotchkiss springs, but you might have to press out the front leaf spring bushings.

Thats right, you do have to use a different bushing size, I think the size hotchkis used is rb185 (rubber bushing) I had to order the caltracs with that size and the bars had to be one size shorter due to the 4 inch lowering. I also would put a cushing on the the top bolt that rest on the top of the spring. I cut a heater hose the size of the bolt and wraped it and then zip tied it. If you do this you will not get any noise from the caltracs. I hope this helps. I would double check the bushing size from hotchkis and let them know when ordering.

I just hammerd the bushings in and out. The hotchkis bushing came right out, but the caltrac bushing was hard to bang in.

I'm guessing the guys at Caltracs don't know what exactly to sell us due to what you guys are saying. I thought it came as a complete bolt-on kit?
Why does Hotchkis have anything to do with Caltracs?
If I bought the Caltracs for my VHO, would I have to change out to a different leaf spring bushing? Or will Caltracs know exactly what I will need for my particular truck due to it not being lowered?

As far as I know you just need to let Caltracs know if your truck is lowered. I told him I had the hotchkis 2/4 drop.
