Default Broken clip on sonnax servo rod?

Hey guys, ive had a performabuilt lvl 2 for about 2 years no issues, a few months back it **** it self, pan full of metal. I bought a another semi built 60e off a member here, i had all the torque management put back in and made my shifts basically stock and stock converter to let it survive until i figure out if im going 80e or sending the performabuilt back for them to rebuild. well the recent 60e after about 800 miles of light driving already started slipping in 3rd. I was bored and working in the garage, so i poped the super sonnax servo out of my performabuilt just to take a peek, theres a clip and washer on the rod, or used to be, the clip was broke in 3 places and had scarred the case, and the washer was bent to ****. my question is , this clip breaking could have caused the damage in the performabuilt, or major breakage have caused that damage to the servo stuff? just wondering. Thanks

That servo you are referring to is actually a superior 2nd servo not a sonnax piece. I have seen many of those clips break and damage the servo bore just like yours did. Personally if you have them fix this unit I would ask if they would just install a new case with a vet servo instead of what you have now. Vince

Im sure with it stopping the travel of the servo it definitely hurt the trans.
