Should I replace the TCC lockup solenoid while I'm in there as well? I know they don't go bad often, but if I'm going to be in it again I might as well not risk having to pull it a 4th time for something I should have done before.

Also feel its pertinent to add that under mild load, there is a strange whine from under the truck. Undoubtedly something transmission related. It doesn't do it while cruising, nor does it do it in boost. But between 5" and 0" of vacuum, it whines a bit. Ideas?

Got a call from PI today. The guy said it was a bearing failure, and they found some bent fins. He also said the lock-up clutch was torn-up, likely from the metal shavings. $320 bucks to fix it. Then add the money i'm spending to get my 60E cleaned/freshened, and I could have bought a new multi-disc converter.

Replaced all the solenoids, does the same thing. Its getting put on a flatbed and dragged to the tranny builder as it sits.

Bump for transmission gremlins. I tried to keep them away from the water but they got in anyway.
