Default Broke tranny again, HELP!

This is the second pump I break since the 6.0 swap. Tell me if this is right; 2004 6.0 HO > stock fly wheel from 99 5.3 > same yank 3000 converter, same built 65e. I don't believe it's the power difference. Could something not be lining up right? I had no trouble whatsoever putting it back together. What could possibly be wrong?

Did you shim out your converter?? Some guys dont think that is a very important thing to do. But if the converter comes out too far, it becomes disengaged. Thus why the shimming is preferred with A/M converters.

No It's not shimmed. This is the first I hear of it. Did you just shim between the converter and flywheel?
sitnlow- The flywheel from the 6.0 has a different offset in it. That's why I used the stock one.

flywheel = manual trans
flexplate = auto trans
I am wondering why the flexplates were different,I am certain the two should have been the same.Are you sure the 6.0 was a HO? maybe it came out of a HD 4L80E,that would be the only reason I can think of why the plates might be different.You said you used the 5.3 plate.What is the history of the engine?I almost believe if it was purchased used it may have a 99-00 crank,we need a pick of the crank unless you are 100% positive the 5.3 and 6.0 cranks look exactly the same in the back.They would be almost flush with the rear engine aluminum plate,or I could say almost flush with the rear main seal.What is the history of the converter?

how long are these lasting?

There are some shady dealers out there. I seen on ebay a guy selling a 99-00 6.0 with late 6.0 heads bolted on .making it seem like a late model 6.0s,someone that didnt know any better would buy it and later have issues.

I broke one because it wasnt engaged enough

I would use washers and mic em and sand them down on a flat surface
till there equal
You should see no more than 3/16 between the flexplate and lugs

I checked this distance with a drill bit
