I tend to agree with this guys. Something seems out of whack here. Check EVERYTHING to make sure its all lining up right.

I've broke 2 first one was stock broke on the dyno 2nd was a yank sfi broke spun and locked didn't know it was even broke till I pulled the trans I now have another stocker in there haven't had a single issue and I've hit it with a 275 shot multiple times I'm assuming it had something to do with my converter at the time I went to an fti and now a Ptc 10" 4000 no issues yet

When you have the sex plate off, you might want to put a dial indicator on the crank just to make sure it is flat and true. Make sure there is no left over threadlocker between the surfaces. I would pay close attention to the holes in the flex plate and see if the threads were leaving indentations causing stress.
I haven't pulled it apart yet. I removed the dust cover and seen it was cracked
I do run all the bolts and theres no gaps anywhere around the bell housing. I'd think if something was off if be getting vibration or something. I will check crank for flatness.

I still think there is an underlying problem, maybe with the crank itself. I wonder how your thrust bearing in the engine looks.
Getting a drill bit in a 60 bell housing would be tough. The oil pan has never been off the truck. But I can check the play when I swap converters

Yea ive never seen one broke like that. Usually its cracked and just rattles around. That one looked to be a stocker that broke off completely. Damn. What about a bad harmonic balance? Could that be a possibility.

Thats definately a wierd situation u got there.

I'm apparently the only one here who thinks it's a failure of structural integrity.

Put the TCI on it, that will answer the question. It will not break, but if there was another cause of your other broken flexplates, something else is going to break.

The first one is not even bolted up correctly.

I would check your input shaft play on your trans, as well as the end play on the crank.

Also check the crank flange for trueness.

Have you sent any of the converters back to be checked after the failures???
High end/low end convertor models???
What type of converters for each failure???
Were they spec'd for nitrous use at the time of order???
