Are you using spacers between converters and flex plate?

I also use a TCI... never had an issue.

Walk us through your trans/flex/torque converter install. How do you measure the space between the flex plate and torque converter before bolting it down? Do you measure it? Is it possible the first time it broke was bad luck, but you slightly damaged the crank making it sit funny or possibly move under load for the last few?

No spacers. I've always used a piece of cardboard to measure the space between converter and flexplate. I've always ran circle d converters and never and a problem till my second converter with the pb lvl2. Currently I'm running the iron circle d flexplate with a 9.5 3800 converter with the 80e.

I leave off transbrake and boost and haven't cracked a stocker.......

No spacers could possibly be an issue, never ran an after market converter without spacers

Aren't the spacers only for making sure the converter doesn't push out the pump?

I have hit it a couple of times on the juice. I either broke it or finished it off doing a burnout at my friends house.

And this means nothing. If the interval is within spec, there's no need for a spacer.

I've never had to run a spacer on a aftermarket converter.
