Brake shudder/Questions?
#1
Ok so after all the BS with the axles causing vibration.I now have a severe brake shudder when stopping. The friggin steering wheel feels like it is coming off. What could cause this?front brakes are brand new and drums in rear i was told are still good with only 20,000 miles on them.I know a few times when drums were off the brakes were stepped on,do you think it did something.I know i was told when i put the 22s on it may shudder but i didnt notice it then.I had rims rebalanced an hour ago cause when im cruising along the steering wheel shakes but i have no clue what could cause that too help please.

I had the same problem, only less severe. When I would apply brakes, it would shudder/shake pretty bad, but not when I wasn't on the brakes. I've had my wheels rotated, balanced, had my rotors turned, tried new rotors, etc...It never did go away completely, but it did get better, so I have just learned to live with it.

i would say warped rotors. When you put your wheels on did they just impact the lug nuts on there?Improper torquing of wheels with rotors behind them will warp them faster than anything...
