Default new guy with a couple ?

Awesome forum, I just have a couple questions.

I just had my truck lowered yesterday (2004 Silverado reg cab 4.3, 5 speed 20 inch wheels) I used a Belltech 3"coil front and 4" shackle/hanger rear. Looks much lower than I expected, not complaining just suprised, it looks awesome.

question 1. I used the factory shocks, how much improvement can I expect with better "lowered" shocks?

question 2. I noticed a little tranny chatter in 3rd gear, not a big deal, I guess changing the angle of the truck or something?

question 3. Why does it look some much lower than my previous truck with the same set-up, it was a 1995 chevy swb with 17"wheels? I guess the 20" wheels fill it up better.

I have noticed a little bump in the rear when I hit a low spot , my other truck did this also, is there a fix for that?

Thanks in advance

1> I noticed a big improvement when swapping to the correct length drop shocks.

2> Drivetrain vibrations are common after rear drops. Have to correct the pinion angles.

The bump you are feeling is probably it hitting the rear bump stop. Most kits come with shaved stops. If you are hitting it the only fix is a c-notch to get the suspension travel back. Mine was a 4wd and the stops actually sat on another perch. I was able to remove that and got me a lot more travel.
