Default Brake pads for Baer rotors?

I just bought a new set of front and rear Baer 14" crossed drilled and slotted rotors for my tahoe and was wondering what pads most are running with these type of aftermarket rotors? Are pads from from the local auto parts store sufficient, or do I need something better? The best pad the local store here offers is a Wagner thermo quiet pad. Any good?

Anyone else? Also, what is sacrificed by not using a high dollar pad on Baer rotors? Is braking power actually sacrificed, or just bad wear on pad and rotor?

How did those crossed drilled and slotted rotors work out for you?

I am running the alumasport setup and I am using the pads from a 05 chrysler 300 on my 05 sierra and they have far less dust than the baer pads and they seemed to work the same

I have an o5 silverado, and was wondering how you found out a chrysler 300 pads fit on a chevy truck? Why would you use them? I found aftermarket pads create way more dust than oem pads.

I'm with you on this one and replying to subscribe.

But dust is not as important to me as performance. I just wash the vehicle often enough

EBC pads.

Ran a set of Wagner semi-metallic pads on them once and they were hard on the rotors. At over $200 per rotor, I won't do that again...

For the Alumasport calipers, Baer says so on their site: Uses the same D1058 pads front and rear, which is also a factory 2005 Chrysler 300c brake pad

If you still have Chevy OEM calipers, then, of course, you still use pads that fit an 05 Silverado
