Default Brake mods?

I want to improve my braking and was thinking stainless braided cables for the front discs?
Remember I have an '05 so I already have 14" discs and 4 piston (?) calipers. What else can I do to improve stopping without spending too much?

Yes, the '05 Sierra/Siverado 1500's came with 14" rotors and rear drum brakes. Didn't your CC?
That's why they went to 17" wheels.

I never noticed that they looked like 14" rotors. I'll have to take a look soon now because I am wondering?

Doh!

So back to the original question, are braided lines a good mod and where to get them from? What about pad upgrades?

Russel 5 line kit and Hawk HPS pads will make a dramatic difference, and you have 13" rotors NOT 14" rotors.

I haven't done enough research to find the best prices, but Thunder Racing has a couple different brands of SS brake lines and summit and jegs sells them.
