Default Brake line replacement / fitting question

Hey guys,
I am replacing a broken brake line from the ABS module back to the rear axle on my 2004 2500HD. I got the old line out (had to drop the fuel tank to get to the line) and bent up the new line. I got the new line into place and began the hook-up. I then realized that the connection at the axle was regular 1/4" thread but the connection at the ABS module was different, it was a course thread, like NPT or something. Anyway, I have two questions...

1. Do they make an adapter that will screw into the ABS module that will still allow me to use my 1/4" fitting that i put on the line?

2. What is that fitting size at the ABS module?

It would suck to have to bend up that whole line again

Thanks,

You dropped the tank for a broken brake line? Did you mess up the old fitting? If not just reuse it, if so edelman makes new ones and I do believe they make adapters but I personally wouldnt use one on a customers car.

Yes, dropped the tank down about 6" and pushed it up against the drive shaft. Cant get anywhere near that line with the tank in place. I can use the old fitting, problem is I already put the other connector on and double flared the line. I would have to bend up a new line and fish it into place again. Guess I gotta do what I gotta do though.

I remember it being different from the rear part of the line, but never could find the size. You are right it is a larger, more coarse threaded double flare....this post is no help, sorry

Lol....that's okay, you had me at ''rear part''.

I will probably just end up re-bending the line and using the old fitting. That line is like 10' long, just a pain to bend up.

Edelman p/n 121045, keep a few in my box. I just cut the lines on both ends and yank em out. Then either measure the line and make one up or if I have room fish the line through the frame and flare it on the truck.

Also the label on the package calls it a 1/4x5/16 fitting.

Why would you need to bend a new line? Cut off the double flare, slide on old fitting and re-flare under the truck.

I agree ^^^^^ all u would lose is about a inch and that can be made up with just flexing the line
