no drop on my suburban yet but i wam going to be going with spindles in front and bags in the rear to help with towing.. Also i have 305/45/22's so you can get an idea fo tire sizes.. rides like a dream

 

Yeah I had a 305/40/22 on my truck before I lowered it with the 24s and I didn't like a tire that wide because to me it felt like if there was a groove in the road the tire never would settle into it. It would always feel like it was wondering all over the road. That was with General tires too and they suck. Now I have a 275/30 and the truck is lowered 4-6 and it rides better than with those tires. That is why I am thinking a 285/40 and it is closer to stock size.

 

Mcgaughy's 2/3 Deluxe drop kit. Spindles up front and springs in the rear with shock extenders. I turned down the front torsions a bit to give it a slight rake. Wheels are Motto MT100 24x10 with Kumho 305/35 tires. Rides great!

The pic in my sig were 22x9.5 with Toyo 305/40 tires. Also didn't have fender flares or the moldings removed.

 

So what would I do to lower her truck 3-4? I measured it and that is what she and I have agreed to.

 

I got mine 3-4 drop in the front with just some aftermarket torsion keys. On the rear I just used 5 inch drop spring and cut some off to get a tad lower and added shock extionsions(spell check) and cut the rubber bump stops off but I had to extend the end links a bit to keep from hitting some stuff. My tire size is 305/35/24 though. It rubs in the front when making sharp turn but that was about it.

 

I am thinking since I want to go with a 3-4 I will likely order check with DJM to see if the 3 inch Tahoe springs might be a little lower on the Yukon XL since it would weigh more. I think 2-3 wouldn't be enough and 3-5 would be too much for her. I think. Might just go 3-3 and then throw some 22s on it.
