Angry Belltech!!! WTF!!!

ok guys, I was going to work friday, and I was about to turn into the shop when my truck made a harsh stop. It felt like my trans locked up, while I was slowing down. I put it in reverse, and it felt ok. Then I put it in drive and it felt ok. I pulled into the lot behind the shop and into my bay and put it in the air. I pulled off the right front after hunting down the rattle. This is what I found....

The belltech drop spindles came with a 2" stud to replace the top hub bolt. AND IT SHEARED OFF!!! What kind of crap do they put in those kits.

I found a bolt in the supply room and put it in and then cut off the head of it, and put it back together.

I almost lost my abs sensor, the light came on when all this happened, and a new one is 115 cost plus 10%. I repaired my sensor with super glue and a bolt with a washer to hold it, seein that the broken stud cracked the hoop that the bolt goes thru.

just thought I would share this with ya.

I have a Belltech 2/4 drop and haven't had a problem. I'd call Belltech if I were you.

because that part came out and lodged between the spindle and the back of one of the wheel studs. the end with the nut was crushed and it bent the end like that. I think that was the sudden stop I felt.

If I had more that my cell phone to take the pics, I could show you.

What stud? I have the belltech drop spindles and mine didn't come with a stud. I reused all the factory hardware.

I wish mine reused the stock bolts. my kit was not the crap spindle they first came out with , but the next to the newist design.
