Default Belltech 2/4 drop

Searching comes up with more questions than answers so here's mine
More about springs here:

Since dropping 2/4 with spindles/shackles, twisting down the bars 2 1/2 turns and pulling the 4x4 paper weight, (so like a 4/6 drop I guess) my ride quality is way rougher up front. I know I need to change shocks now.

Would you guys w/drop experience suggest switching to a -2" key to regain the correct load rating on the TB's or has anyone tried swapping to a stiffer TB with them cranked down?

Thx

You're probably resting hard on the forward stops and have no travel in the front. I cut my stops and got articulation back.

cut off one, or maybe even two nubs, then drill holes in it. it'll soften it up. Mr. GMracer can confirm this method.
