Default Beastmode long bars

soon real soon Beastmode will have the very first set of Long bars. aka Lift bars. they are similar to what Lightnings run. if some of you remember i posted about getting these done for my truck. well everyone knows my truck is out of comission till next year. So I hooked Bill up with Jay/TJ the two that did my exhaust. they have his truck now and will have pics of them up probably tomorrow. They are hoping to have billy boy ready for some action this weekend if possible but deffently for TNT on wedensday. they will be made from 1 3/4 Chromo with Hind joints. and yes after the first set if there is enough interest others will follow these. I have every intention of getting these for mine once its back and running...

sorry no pics tonight but they wil be up i promise and im sure Bill will have his insight and thoughts on them soon enough

ya well get some **** up if not tonight tomorrow. these guys know there **** and ill be really suprised if my 60s dont improve. like i told them weather permitting and if the bars are done the truck will be out TnT as Quik said for some times.

There plan of action is to take stock saddles for the ubolts under the axle and make a bolt on or weld on bracket onto that. then run that straight over to the cab mount with a bracket on that. should be interesting to see how these bad boys work. and as George said they do plan to make more applications if i can put some good numbers down and there is a demand for these. as of now they havent set a price to these but im sure you can expect them to be around cal-tracs.

heres a link to ones that Grippy put up, they should be simalar to these. whats nice about the ones that Domination plans to make though is you really wont lose any ground clearance, they plan to not have the bracket drop lower than the shock mount coming off the axle and coming off the cab mount you have plenty of clearance up there... so should be no issues wit dropped trucks

heres the saddle i was refering to that there gonna build off of. of course as i said if they do decide to do these theyll get a shipment of brand new ones and send you them wit the brackets already on them... all in all these guys are trying to make these a bolt on application so your average joe can have a set

thats not a bad idea... like i said i wanna get some numbers and well see if anyones interested in them or not, chances are theres gonna be 2 applications if guys wanna ditch there caltracs and pick up a set of these.

the hole thing that me and Quik didnt like was what you have to do to your hangers if you wanna run the caltracs. George and myself and the boys from Domination think these will hold up better and plant better... only time will tell tho

Has anybody done any IC or anti squat calculations on those bars. It seems like it would move your IC A LOT further foward, which is fine, but it seems like it would reduce the amount of anti squat vs. the caltracs' upper hole. The one advantage I do see for trucks is the longer bar would create a larger moment which would be good for our front heavy trucks.

I could easily canibalize my caltracs to see if this works. I could have our fab shop bend up some 12ga plates too. Hmmm...

Here's a quick illustration of what I'm talking about with these long bars vs. the caltracs. The more antisquat you have the harder it'll hit the tires and more it'll lift the rear end on acceleration. This essentially forces the tires into the pavement. With a truck I would think you'd want all the antisquat you can get.

I made a few assumptions on some dimensions though. Also I assumed the CG for a truck at 26" since most cars are around 22-24". Long bars on top & caltracs on the bottom.

Yes, yes...keep us up to date on how the long bars work. Make sure to take as many pics as possible during fabrication. I am very interested on how they will come out... Let us know!
